Extra Charges
- We do not charge extra for regional accents or English 2nd language accents. Our transcribers are experienced specialists at transcribing strong accents.
- We do not charge extra for background noise unless it renders the recording inaudible. In these circumstances we will let you know before commencing work.
- Various time stamp options are available on request.
- Our company can assist with transcription work in other languages as well as English – click here.
- We get a lot of orders to proof read/transcribe 2+ speaker recordings that have had automated (AI) transcription services applied to them by Zoom, Teams or other systems. Please send us over the audio or video recordings and the automated transcription so we can quote you for the work.
The cost of transcribing may vary according to the following factors, and it is worth requesting a quote from us before placing your order to ensure we get you the best possible price:
- Length of Recording – we discount for bulk orders.
- Level of Verbatim Detail Required – if you want a full or edited transcript.
- Type of Recording – focus group, one to one interview, conference, meeting etc.
- Turnaround Time – we cater for urgent recordings and ongoing contracts..
- Anonymisation, de-identification and pseudonymisation – applicable to some academic research projects.
- Subtitling Videos – this is specialist work – see prices above.
- Translation/Transcription – if translation is required the price will be higher than transcription in one language. Click here for an instant quote.
All prices exclude VAT. We sometimes charge for courier or administrative costs if the order includes CDs, DVDs, videos, tapes, documents or records.
