The Typing Works - Prices

We charge by the thousand words, which is calculated on an output basis not time, so that even if we have to re-listen to parts of the recording because the quality is poor, or there is ‘dead time’ (i.e. reading of paperwork etc), we do not pass that time onto the client. I estimate 1 hour of digital audio time is approximately 9,000 – 10,000 words.

Please note, there is no extra charge for multiple speakers or focus groups.

In respect of turnaround time, we can cope with multiple files as we are a small team of experienced transcribers, [who have worked together for many years], which means you will have a steady stream of work emailed back to you as soon as they are completed.
